Islas ...Spanish for 'islands'...the Falkland Islands where this wonderful wool comes from.

These sheep are a mixed breed living on Falkland Islands off the coast of Argentina and have been there since the 1850's.

Due to the cooler climate and absence of many types of bacteria,  this environment surprisingly creates perfect conditions for growing extremely white fleeces, making it an excellent choice for dyeing, as well as, having a beautiful softness and luster. 

It is our newest yarn to the Colour Adventures Family.  As a non-superwash yarn, this wool still takes on colour beautifully, with stitch definition and body you will love.

• Needle / Hook Size:  2.75-3.75mm (US 2-5)
• Care:  Hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry.
