Medium Felting Needles are good for making the bulk of a 3D felting piece and attaching pieces. Not good for detail work. 36 gauge
Fine Felting Needles are perfect for detail work and creating a neat surface. Not to be used with coarse fibres or when creating rough sculpting/bulk work. 40 gauge.
Spiral Felting Needles are twisted, which makes felting faster and reduces surface holes that other needles make. 36 gauge.
Star Felting Needles have 4 sides instead of the usual 3. Good for all around work, as well as fine detail work. 38 gauge.
Reverse Barb Felting Needles pull fibre out of a piece. Used to create a fluffy finish. 40 gauge.
